We handle your data with care and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.

2. What data do we process?

We only process the data that you provide to us yourself or that is necessary to help you:

  • Via the contact form: your name, telephone number, e-mail address, the subject of your question, details of your machine and quick coupler, and your message.
  • Via the price or information request form: the same data, supplemented with the product or model you are requesting information about.
  • If you call us, e-mail us or visit us: the data you give us when doing so.
  • If you are a customer or supplier: your contact details, company details and VAT number, details of orders, deliveries, trade-ins and invoices, and payment details.
  • If you visit the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. These are used for the security and proper functioning of the website. You can read more about cookies in our cookie policy.

We do not ask for sensitive data, such as data about health, religion or political views.

3. Why do we process your data?

  • To answer your question and to call or e-mail you back. We do this at your request, with a view to a possible agreement, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering questions.
  • To prepare quotes and handle sales: delivery, transport, trade-in, invoicing, warranty and service. This is necessary to perform the agreement with you.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, such as our accounting and tax obligations.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly. That is our legitimate interest.

We do not use your data for newsletters or advertising without your permission, and we never sell your data to third parties.

4. How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your data for longer than necessary:

  • Questions via the website, telephone or e-mail that do not lead to a purchase: up to 2 years after the last contact.
  • Customer data: for as long as we work together, and up to 10 years after that, so that we can still deal with warranty or other questions.
  • Invoices and accounting documents: 10 years, as required by law.

5. Who do we share your data with?

We only share your data when this is necessary for the purposes above, for example with:

  • our website host and e-mail provider;
  • our accountant or bookkeeper;
  • carriers, if we have a machine or bucket delivered to you;
  • public authorities, if we are legally required to do so.

We make agreements with parties that process data on our behalf, so that they handle your data as carefully as we do.

Our contact page shows a Google Maps map. Depending on your cookie preferences, Google may process data such as your IP address. This is governed by the Google privacy policy.

6. Data outside Europe

In principle, we process your data within the European Economic Area. If we do use a service that processes data outside Europe, this only happens with the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

7. Social media

Our website contains links to our pages on Facebook and Instagram. If you click on them, you leave our website and the privacy policy of that platform applies.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The website uses a secure connection (https), and only people who need your data for their work have access to it.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted, unless we are required by law to keep them;
  • have the processing restricted;
  • receive your data in a commonly used format or have it transferred;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw any consent you have given at any time.

To do so, send an e-mail to jurgen@huysmansbv.be. We will reply within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to confirm your identity.

10. A complaint?

If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your data, please contact us first and we will look for a solution together. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority at any time:
